Liverpool trio SPQR have unveiled their new track ‘Josephine’. Taken from their forthcoming EP Long Sun Long Shadows, landing April 26th via Modern Sky UK, the single is a roller coaster ride of psychedelic, post-punk, alternative and art rock blended into one wild serving. With a catchy bass line leading the charge, severing guitar liners eventually follow aided by thundering drumming. You can even catch a few back vocal screams fused in the second verse. Touching on the single, SPQR front man Peter Harrison stated:

“I actually wrote ‘Josephine’ about 4 years ago, which is why it’s seemingly come out of nowhere. I don’t really write ‘em like this anymore, which is a shame, but I still love it—which is a miracle—because the other songs I wrote during that batch I don’t think much of, but this one just stuck. Maybe it’s because it’s SUCH a fun live track, but I could never throw it out.”
