Having released their EP Wilpena Street back in 2017, Australian outfit Salibu Macey return with an ode to love in their latest single ‘Bonnie’. A sincere and lush indie piece, the track highlights a maturity in the band’s sound, expanding to wider horizons. ‘Bonnie’ is currently out now via GD FRNDS.
Touching on the track, James Catford stated:
“The character Bonnie and her role in the story of this song is merely a metaphor for the feeling you get when you meet someone that truly believe you can’t live without them.
It’s a jangly, melancholy tune that dissects that thought process and its fabrication, evolving into welcomed realisations and, in turn, a sense of coming out the other side with a clear and open mind.”
