Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, singer Laura Roy is an artist who you will soon hear a lot about. Having already shared the stage with big names in music, Roy’s self-titled debut EP is the stamp of approval that her future is insanly bright. Comprised of six tracks in total, the Canadian vocalist covers multiple ground ranging from pop and r&b down to electro. Roy’s high level vocal ability is put to good use as the polished production of each tune is pop chart big which come courtesy of Adam King, Ari Leff and Joel Stouffer. There’s a are dance cuts such as ‘Bright Lights’ with contrasting ballads like ‘Full Moon’ providing a balance to a fiery track such as ‘Plastic’. The attentiveness to the details in songwriting and overall presentation makes this record a top gunner against anything in the pop world at this moment.

“I’ve been working on the EP for the last year and a half. I’ve tried to make sure the music represents my experiences in a way that feels true to who I am as an artist right now.”
