We’re not talking about the glossed over, promoter-is-not-really-a-house-head-take-the-money-and-run type of party. We’re speaking of those down and dirty, jack your body, sweat it out kind of house parties where it feels like a communal experience. These are a few attributes that have made the Batty Bass label so essential in today’s market.

The latest release from the Batty Bass stable is from Dalston mainstay Josh Caffe and David Newtron, with the single “As I Look”. Dirty, upbeat, and all out grooving with a bouncing, rubber band bassline, stabbing synth chords, and soulful vocals weaved in and out of the track, “As I Look” could have easily been one of the go to cuts at the Warehouse. The single pack includes two remixes by Capracara, as well as Germany’s Snuff Crew. Josh Caffe and David Newtron’s “As I Look” is out 20th Jan on Batty Bass. You can preview the release below.
