People may credit J Dilla as one of the best producers to do it in Hip-Hop, however, we would also add that, as an emcee, Dilla had bars for days. Clever and witty with a flow that was razor sharp, Jay Dee’s passion for the art form was reflected in every aspect of the music that he touched.
Back in 2002, Dilla and producer Supa Dave West recorded a few tracks together. One of those cuts “Give Em What They Want”, which was going to be featured on his album “The Diary”, is finally seeing the light of day, with a clear 12″ vinyl getting released on May 6.
