Back in 2010 Anika released her self-titled debut LP which fused the sounds of post-punk, new wave, funk, dub and more. Welcomed with mass praises amongst the media, her latest project with Mexico City musicians Martin Thulin, Hector Melgarejo and Hugo Quezada under the name Exploded View, delves deeper into the experimental side of her sound fostering an apocalyptic soundscape. Having already shared the tracks ‘No More Parties In The Attic’ and ‘Orlando’, the band now bring forth the tune ‘Lost Illusions’. Taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut LP, the song is an improvised and haunting presentation of dubbed-out post-punk at its finest. Exploded View will release their LP on August 19th via the Sacred Bones imprint. Have a listen to ‘Lost Illusions’ below.
