Acquiring fame as one half of the Swedish group MASSAI, Stockholm’s Dominique Tey proved that she is just as potent as a solo performer after dropping her single ‘Heartstream’ over the summer. Tey now makes her return with a new offering entitled ‘Let It Out’. Her airy vocals glide over breezy, atmospheric pop production, serene and meditative. We look forward to hearing a lot more from Dominique Tey in the near future. ‘Let It Up’ is currently out via Toothfairy Records.
Touching on the track, Dominique Tey said:
“I wrote this song when I was in a negative loop of thoughts and was trying to figure out why I kept going back to that place. I hated it but it was also a safe place, it was something romantic and bittersweet about it. Sometimes it’s easier not facing your fears and emotions, to just fall into that bad space. So this song became a process in facing those thoughts and feelings and by doing that I could own them and then let them go.”
