Having unveiled their single ‘Tell Me’ last month, South Africa’s Diamond Thug bring forth another track taken from their upcoming EP Gaiafy, out May 24th. ‘Aphotic Waters’ is the group’s latest cut, an atmospheric indie piece that is built on ethereal production – hard kicking drums, spacey synths and airy effects. Factor in glowing, bright melodies and the result is an eargasmic ride, something that the band has now built a solid reputation on from past released.

Touching on ‘Aphotic Waters’, Diamond Thug mentioned:

“The Aphotic zone is defined as the depths of the oceans, void of any light. Musically we’re drawing comparisons to Evolution through the cyclical but progressive song-structure. Solace is found through the belief that although we feel distance and unfamiliarity between ourselves, all of our fates are connected.”
