Bad Breeding is a band who utterly represents the core sounds of punk and noise rock. Signed to the One Litle Indian imprint, the Stevenage-based group will release their EP ‘Abandonment’ on April 27th. Having previously shared the title track to the record, Bad Breeding now unveil the second single ‘Psychic Copper’, a full-throttled and energetic blast of power-hitting punk that will set off any situation. Touching on the perceived notion of manhood, Bad Breeding are serving food for thought aside the most amped soundtrack.
Regarding the single, Bad Breeding’s Chris Dodd mentioned:
“Psychic Copper makes reference to the work of Robert Bly and some of the discussions around the mythopoetic men’s movement. I wanted to explore how problematic notions of masculinity have played out in my community. It looks at the archaic reliance on roles in the nuclear family, male victimhood and the violent byproducts of struggling for identity in an increasingly toxic, and often stifling, environment.”
