Irish poet / artist Sinead O’Brien makes her return with her new cut ‘GIRLKIND’. The track will hopefully be featured on her upcoming debut album which will get released on Chess Club Records. Produced by Dan Carey, the track has a spirited post-punk sound that compliments Sinead O’Brien’s vocals perfectly.
Sinead O’Brien has also dropped a video to accompany ‘GIRLKIND’. Directed by Saskia Dixie, O’Brien and her bandmates are dressed in all black whilst doing things in a flat that would seem like a lead up to something bigger, but in reality is simply a cycle of randomness such as counting coins or walking up and down the building steps as eggs fall from a supermarket shopping bag. There are also clips of the band performing on stage, which is a juxtaposition of the other clips. Check it out.
