Grime fans from back in the days will remember when Ghetts, Scorcher, Wretch 32, Mercston and Devlin were absolutely reigning as The Movement. Considered one of the best collectives at the time, all members were also pursuing solo ventures in which they all practically enjoyed large amounts of success. For years there were talks about The Movement getting back together. Well over the past year, there were bits of indications that it could possibly happen, at least in terms of another mixtape of album. Whilst we still patiently wait for it, Scorcher has dropped his new single ’99 Riddim’ featuring Ghetts and Mercston. Produced by Scholar, it’s quite refreshing to hear Scorcher back on classic sounding grime. The song has already been championed by Charlie Sloth and DJ Target. ’99 Riddim (My Ting)’ is out via R U Listening.
