Sally Shapiro Share Their Dreamy Song ‘Guarding Shell’

Swedish group Sally Shapiro are slated to drop their new album Ready To Live A Lie on May 30th. The record will get released on Italians Do It Better. Having already given a taste of what’s to come with their track ‘The Other Days’, the pair now unveil their new single ‘Guarding Shell’.

An ethereal synth-pop tune, there is a subtlety to the production, which gives just enough of a danceable BPM to aid the dreamy and cloud drifting soundscape. Even the vocals are quite tender and subdued which helps to foster an easing feeling.

Along with the track, Sally Shapiro have also shared an accompanying anime video which you can check out below.

Touching on ‘Guarding Shell’, Sally Shapiro mentioned:

“‘Guarding Shell’ is a track in a super classic Sally Shapiro style. On at least one track per album, we feel it’s nice to go back to our roots and our interpretation of italo disco, where it all started for us. Just because we love this style of music so much. The theme here is daring to trust someone after having been hurt. We asked music video editor Iris Beatrix to edit a music video out of a Japanese anime that we thought fit perfectly to the theme and feeling of the track.”
