If it feels like there is a sharpness and high cleverness to the songwriting and production of Rudie Edwards’ debut track ‘I’m Not Her’, well that’s because it is. In fact, the Kent native and BRIT School graduate cut her teeth in the industry writing for the likes of Cee-Lo and loads more. But rather than riding the wave of any trend, Edwards has opted for a dark release driven by nocturnal disco production in which lines like “I’ll make you suffer” are planted in the hook.
