London artist Oliver Marson follows-up his previous single ‘Time For Love’ with his latest cut ‘To The Nines!’. The cheeky post-punk meets art pop handing features Marson elegantly addressing the issues of people’s poor decisions when it comes to well…fashion. Sprinkled with a touch of 80’s chic, lush guitar riffs coincide with twinkling keys, as Marson croons lines such as “What you gonna do when the show is over” and “I’ll be working like a dog”. We’re pretty sure that he has said what many people have been quietly thinking. Check it out.
Regarding the track, Oliver Marson said:
“I wanted to write from the perspective of a bitter misogynist and ‘To the Nines’ is literally an exposition of toxic male thinking. ‘To the Nines’ being an old English expression, which means ‘to dress flamboyantly or buoyantly’.”
