Nick Cave is no stranger to Leonard Cohen covers. The Australian-born singer,songwriter, composer and actor recorded a version of Cohen’s “Avalanche” back on his 1984 LP From Her to Eternity, recorded with The Bad Seeds. Cave now re-records the cover for the TV series Black Sails, which is a hauntingly beautiful and minimal rendition which airs of slight gloom, something that Cave is also no stranger to sonically.
