With his forthcoming album OCTOPUS landing September 19th on Cooking Vinyl, Newton Faulkner has unveiled his latest single ‘Hunting Season’ which features vocalist Lissie and Los Bitchos.

Inspired by the sounds of Paul Simon, ‘Hunting Season’ is a vibrant art pop piece that incorporates worldly musical influences. The vocals have an 80s nostalgia to them, which is fitting for the instrumentation. ‘Hunting Season’ is an overall feel-good single that will be on repeat for us for quite a while.

Regarding the Los Bitchos collab, Newton Faulkner mentioned:

“Serra came to my studio mid-morning, and by mid-afternoon, this version was up and running. As soon as she started playing, I knew I wanted her to replace all of my guitars. She straight-up smashed it.”
