For those who say that musicians these days aren’t making political-driven music, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. NYC-based artist Moon Walker has totally stepped up to the plate with his new track ‘Parade’. The single is taken from his new LP WASTELAND COUNTRY, landing May 1st.
Punchy and in your face, ‘Parade’ takes aim at fascism, with the soundscape being a weighty punch of noise rock and alternative that hits the mark smack dead in the middle. What sounds like a soundtrack to any movement that is aiming for change, ‘Parade’ plays like a bull in a china shop, musically crushing anything in its path. This is a steamroller of a single.
Touching on ‘Parade’, Moon Walker stated:
“The initial idea came when I was messing around with a baritone rubber bridge acoustic in open A tuning plugged into a very loud amp. I mic’ed the amp, and I also mic’ed the acoustic. I record all my music in a little room in my apartment, so obviously there was insane amounts of bleed. There was this cool thing that would happen where the two mic’s were almost fighting with each other.”
