Whilst originally a duo with Quincy Ledbetter, singer Mia Wilson now carries The Bright Smoke project as a solo artist as she releases a new cut entitled ‘The Lion And’. A punching blast of alternative and art rock with a post-punk sensibility, Wilson’s haunting vocals are stark and gripping, with lashing guitar riffs striking boldly underneath. Gunning at the idea of those wanting to play both roles of a victim and aggressor for one’s own benefit, ‘The Lion And’ is to the point and in your face, making it one addicting track. The song is taken from The Bright Smoke’s upcoming LP ‘Gross National Happiness’, out July 5th.
