Aside from Meridian Dan being a North London vet in the grime scene, we’re going to go ahead and state that he should also be the new face of PETA. This is Dan’s latest video ‘Vegan Chat’ which you can catch him bagging up vegetables like drugs, fighting a boxing cow in the ring and being hung on a rack like a slab of beef. Directed and shot by Paul Casey and Richard Jobson of Blok, Meridian Dan drops a number of inspirational gems in the lyrics as well as cheeky liners that he has been known to do over the years.
Touching on the video, Blok stated:
“We knew this song would lend itself to a strong visual and we were over the moon to have the Mill on board! The new possibilities posed by having one of the country’s leading VFX supervisors on the team allowed us to make infinitely more impactful images. We wanted to slap the viewer around a bit, make them work for it and leave them exhausted: from multiple characters, to hyper-real worlds like the abattoir where Dan is hanging up like a piece meat, the severed head, Dillian Whyte dressed in a bull costume to the suspiciously familiar looking clown getting water boarded with carrot juice. This is without doubt one of the most collaborative and fulfilling experiences we’ve had in film-making.”
