Meg Myers depicts the invasion of space, the constant judging and more in her latest video ‘Numb’. Directed by Clara Aranovich, Meyers finds herself constantly being touched by co-workers in an office setting. Eventually running to escape the constant bombardment, she comes to understand that no matter where she tries to retreat to, she can never escape the constant hands of people, even in her personal space. ‘Numb’ is taken from Meg Myers’ forthcoming album Take Me To The Disco, out July 20 on 300 Entertainment.
Regarding the single, Meg Myers said:
“The song is about how I was feeling when my record company was looking for something out of me that just didn’t feel right for many reasons,” says Meg. “I was frustrated and it came through in this song. I discovered that this feeling was something I’ve experienced my whole life and decided to look within and confront it. I wanted the video to make the viewer experience this uncomfortable feeling.”
