It’s hard to pin point any particular production style or format on Mark Pritchard. Since 1991 he has released a wide array of electronic music under multiple aliases such as Harmonic 313, Africa Hitech (with Steve Spacek), Troubleman, Jedi Knights and Harmonic 33, just to name a very short few. From drum and bass to digital dancehall, the UK born, Sydney Australia based producer has released material on labels such as Good Looking, Hyperdub, Planet Mu, Sonar Kollektiv, Deep Medi and Big Dada.
Recording under his own name, Mark Pritchard is set to release his second EP out of three, titled “Lock Off” on Warp. The EP series represent the precursors to his upcoming 2014 full length album. Etching out lo-fi rave, gritty jungle and Chicago footwork, “Lock Off” is Pritchard’s contribution to the ever shifting sounds of electronica while incorporating bits of the past – bringing it back full circle. “1234” featuring Ragga Twins is the lead single taken from the EP. “Lock Off” will be available for purchase on 2nd September on Warp.
