Madonna ‘God Control’ Video

Pop icon Madonna addresses the issue of gun violence in her video ‘God Control’. Directed by Jonas Åkerlund, Madonna plays the role of a writer typing a story revolving around a glamour and glitzy, 70s era New York City night club that is eventually the target ground for a brutal attack, leaving multiple people dead. There is also a moment in the video where Madonna is held up outside at gun point.

The song is taken from Madonna’s fourteenth LP Madame X, which was released June 14th on Interscope.

Regarding the topic of gun violence, Madonna wrote:

“This is your wake up call. Gun violence disproportionately affects children, teenagers and the marginalized in our communities. Honor the victims and demand GUN CONTROL. NOW. Volunteer, stand up, donate, reach out. Wake up and insist on common-sense gun safety legislation. Innocent lives depend on it. Join me in supporting the following organizations:
