Making their debut back in 2018 with the track ‘If I Am Dreaming’ London band Komraus are now slated to release their album Untie The Ropes on February 15th. Already unveiling the title track with a video to accompany it, the trio have now shared a Rachel K Collier remix of the song. Whilst the original was hauntingly moody and atmospheric, Collier’s rework adds more a spacey club topping, pushing it with light synth punches, electronic twinkles and pulsing 4×4 drums. This heady remix works for simple listening pleasure as well as the dance floor.
Touching on the song, Komraus mentioned:
“‘Untie The Ropes’ is a song about personal growth, freedom and self-respect. With this song we wanted to remind us all that we are free to choose what we want to be and who we want to love. That’s the reason why we wrote this song for all the brave ones that are living terrible situations as refugees in many more countries than the ones we could think of: the LGBT refugees.”
