As London duo Still Corners gear up for a massive Europe and U.S. tour beginning in April, the pair have unveiled a new song dubbed ‘Far Rider’.
For this offering, Still Corners deliver a seducing taste of desert rock, topped with a layer of dream pop that is as warm as the Southern California climate during the summertime. Sexy guitar lines coincide with a slinky bass line as swaying drums act as the heartbeat. Factor in singer Tessa Murray’s lush vocals and what you have here is a sure shot winner. ‘Far Rider’ is also a whopping 7 minutes long. This is the perfect track for that long road trip.
Regarding the single, Still Corners’ Tessa Murray stated:
“This song is about leaving, lost love and finding yourself somewhere on the journey, really it’s about redemption. I recently drove 6000 miles across the southwest to feel the sun on my face and think. We used the dreamlike nature of the song to capture the landscape and a hypnotic feel to conjure up the long and lonely travel days.”
