Whilst Australian band Sacred Hearts may not have a long discography, they have tapped into various aspects of post-punk over the past couple years. From dark, lo-fi carvings to more subtle new wave-inspired sounds, the pair have dropped more than promising tunes. Sacred Hearts now return with their latest single ‘Crocodile Tears’.
‘Crocodile Tears’ is a menacing body blow of in your face post-punk. With rubbery guitar riffs sitting on top of these stomping 4×4 kicks that operate more in the vein of dance punk and industrial, the song is lifted by the whipping vocal performance that is hard-hitting and energetic. We surely look forward to more records from the Aussie pair. Check it out.
