Tapping into her varied musical palette of pop and dance, ‘Teardrop’ is a disco-driven gem that is built on glistening synths, funky guitar licks and pulsing 4×4 drum patterns. Factor in Baskcomb’s silky vocals and what you have is an absolute killer offering that glides between the pop stratosphere and club world.

Touching on the single, Poppy Baskcomb mentioned:

“‘Teardrop’ came about in a session I did with Paul Harris and James Hurr where we decided we wanted to write a big pop tune. Something that you could hear the likes of Miley Cyrus on with influences from Robyn and Stevie Nicks. When it came to the lyrics we just had fun with them, combining all of our experiences from nights out and club romances. It’s the first song where I really felt like there was a lot of me in it. And that’s why I’m so gassed to have it as my first single and I hope everyone else is too.”
