Newcastle band Pave The Jungle are slated to release their debut EP The Hissing on October 9th via the Cow House imprint.
Having already shared the tracks ‘Ants’ and ‘Habitual Thinker’, Pave The Jungle now unveil their latest single entitled ‘Fix’. Produced by Chris McManus, the tune launches with explosive guitar riffs and hammering drums before settling into a period of ease, spearheaded by the vocals of Rachael Whittle. The instrumentation peps up yet again during the chorus of the song. The power-punching alternative offering is another excellent crafting by the promising outfit.
Touching on the song, Pave The Jungle’s Rachael Whittle stated:
“Around the time of writing this song I was having some testing health issues. The lyrics confront the frustration and friction this was causing. ‘White door locked grows smaller every day’ refers to the overwhelming feeling that leaving the house would result in something awful happening. I was struggling badly with dizziness and it was hard to walk anywhere; I felt like I was on a boat. Out at sea with no land in sight.”
