Tokyo-based artist Lee Tatlock aka Cream with a K has shared her latest track ‘Stuck in the House’. The song is a pop meets indie piece that finds the singer delivering airy vocals over easing guitar lines with occasional streaking, electric riffs and a deep, rubbery bass line. The tune follows her previously shared track ‘5:35’, which will both be featured on Cream with a K’s debut self-titled album landing this year.
Touching on the song, Lee Tatlock said:
“The thought of leaving the house would give me anxiety to the point that it would physically make me sick to my stomach. If I could, I would try to avoid leaving the house altogether”, states Tatlock when discussing the meaning behind the track. “I think everyone has a brush with mental illness at some point…but you’ve got to know, the only cure is mindful and decided change. It’s hard and vey scary but definitely worth it. In a way, I feel this song is a funny little caricature and reminder of a quite morbid and real issue in modern society.”
