Disco-funk comes alive in Arkon Fly’s new single “Backseat”. A great summertime groove, AF’s music picks up on the groundwork laid down by acts like Prince circa 1982, The Time and The Gap Band. And while there has been a resurgence of uptempo jam funk songs to populate the market over the past few years, there is an authenticity in sound that the London-based duo delivers almost as if they were studied children of some of the great funkateers from old. “Backseat” is forthcoming via Locked On Records.
