If you have followed producer Lee Webster’s career over the past few years, you will know that he has released an onslaught of records on various labels including Glasgow Underground, Madtech, I Used to Sleep at Night, Hot Wave and more. With many of those singles and EPs flaunting highly provocative titles, the Barcelona-based artist will now release his less explicit named EP Excursion on Audiojack’s Gruuv label. Weaving between deep and club-jacking house, the record includes three original songs as well as a remix of the track ‘Blue Planet’ by none other than Francois Dubois, known to the world as Funk D’Void. Excursion is officially out March 11th.
In a press statement regarding Lee Webster’s Excursion EP, Gruuv owner Audiojack wrote:
“This EP came about through a series of good deeds and exchanges! We host a free party in Ibiza every Sunday through summer and asked Funk D’Void to join us one week. He shared a flat in Barcelona with Lee so we got him over to play and hang out as well. Had a great time and returned the favour by joining them at Funk D’Void’s night at Macarena in Barcelona later in the year, and from these fun endeavours came this Excursion EP by Lee Webster, with his old flatmate, Funk D’Void, a.k.a Francois Dubois on the remix.”
