Last year Seattle band La Luz released their self-titled fourth LP, a brilliant kaleidoscope of rhythms which included surf rock, psychedelic, dream pop, doo wop, and more. The album even featured collaboration tracks with none other than Adrian Younge.
La Luz now make their return with a new track entitled ‘Endless Afternoon’. A slow-burning and hazy 50s-style rock & roll offering that is graced with these dreamy doo wop harmonies that are overly lush and gorgeous. The song is taken from the A-side of their upcoming 7″ b/w the song ‘San Fernando Shadow Blues’, landing June 14th digitally, with the vinyl out July 7th on Hardly Art.
Regarding the single, La Luz singer/musician Shana Cleveland stated”
“‘Endless Afternoon’ is a “California lullaby. The melody for this song came to me while I was hiking in the hills above the Yuba River. About the sweetness found in slow days close to home.”
