Kid Cudi took to Twitter to place a call out to Plain Pat, producer Emile Haynie, longtime collaborator and friend Dot Da Genius, as well as A-Trak to work on Man on the Moon 3. This couldn’t be more welcoming as many fans have waited for a number of years for Cudi to reunite with Pat and Emile, who along with Dot Da Genius, helped to craft the classic Man on the Moon: The End of Day and Man on the Moon 2: The Legend of Mr. Rager albums. Cudi began a series of tweets with “I can’t/won’t make MOTM3 w/o Pat, Emile & A Trak in the studio. We started together, we finish this together. It’s time I assemble the team.” Judging by the most recent tweet with Emile and Kid Cudi in the studio, the vision is manifesting into reality. We couldn’t be happier to hear the news!
Emile Haynie recently announced his debut album We Fall, scheduled for release on February 23 via Interscope. Guests on the LP include Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lana Del Rey, Lykke Li, Dev Hynes, Sampha and more. Haynie’s recent accolades include his production on FKA twigs’ LP1 and Eminem’s track “Guts Over Fear” featuring Sia.
