Warp Records have recently announced a new collaboration album between Brian Eno and Underworld’s Karl Hyde titled “Someday World”, with a release date scheduled for May 5th. Eno and Hyde both share vocals on the nine song record, which will feature an array of musicians including Tessa Angus, Will Champion, Kasia Daszykowska and more. Produced by Brian Eno and Fred Gibson, the duo will also release a Deluxe 2CD Edition with four added bonus tracks.
On the Warp website, Brian Eno states, “A lot of the nicer cities I know are cities built on hills, and the cities are beautiful because the buildings have a challenge to adapt to. They have to mould themselves around the geology that they’ve formed upon. And that always makes for very interesting buildings, because they can’t just be blocks, they have to somehow morph around the environment. A lot of the constructions on the album were deliberately irregular and awkward.”
Karl Hyde and Brian Eno also collaborated on the album cover design with Hyde photographing the image and Eno producing the artwork.
