Karen Elson has built a career as one of the top supermodels in fashion. Whilst there is no question regarding her ability to completely own the runway and editorials, she is also no slacker when it comes to music, releasing her Jack White-produced debut album The Ghost Who Walks back in 2010.

Karen Elson is now set to drop her new LP Double Roses on April 7th. Produced by Jonathan Wilson, the album includes guest appearances by Father John Misty, Laura Marling, Pat Carney of The Black Keys and more. Elson has also shared the first single from the record entitled ‘Distant Shore’, which can be heard below.

Regarding Double Roses Elson wrote:

“I wrote maybe six songs but I’m very instinctual as a person and I knew that there was one puzzle piece missing that I hadn’t tapped into the deepest part myself. I knew I needed to pull that out if I was going to make the record I needed to make. At the end of the writing the album I felt liberated. I felt free. I felt like me.”
