It’s been five years since Jehnny Beth released her brilliant solo album To Love Is to Live. Incorporating a range of musical styles ranging from electronica to noise rock, the LP was a great showcasing of her range since departing from her band Savages. She will now release new album You Heartbreaker on August 29th. The first glimpse of the project comes in the form of her latest single and video titled ‘Broken Rib’.

Sonically the track finds Jehnny Beth delving into punk, more noise rock, and even funk, which has a Red Hot Chili Peppers swing to the bass line. Her vocal style at times have aspects of hardcore and death metal.
