With Third Man Records having opened their London location back in 2021, the first local signing to the label is London indie band Island Of Love. The group will drop their debut EP titled Songs of Love, which will get released digitally via Third Man on March 18th, with vinyl copies coming in June.

Island OF Love have also shared the title track to the EP. Fusing their love of indie as well as punk, there is an analogue feel to the song which is packed with summery guitar lines complimented with breezy, lo-fi vocals that also give off an air of nostalgia. Touching on ‘Songs of Love’, Island Of Love mentioned:

“‘Songs of Love’ was a collage of pretty wacky riffs Karim would play as guitar warm-ups until writing with the full band,” the band says. “Dealing with feelings of inadequacy, the lyrics shine a light on a way most of us felt before picking up an instrument, and the voice it’s since been able to give us. To have Third Man show an interest has been a surreal privilege to say the least.”
