Iggy Pop has shared the video for his track ‘We Are The People’, which is featured on his latest LP Free. With the song spawned from a 1970s poem by the late Lou Reed, the timing of the video coincides with Reed’s birthday which is March 2nd. Directed by Simon Taylor, the visuals themselves are concentrated on close-up shots of Iggy whilst he recites the lyrics. The trumpet in the song is played by jazz musician Leron Thomas, who Iggy Pop worked with throughout on Free. Have a look.
