Having amassed mountainous success spanning a decade now, Swedish duo Icona Pop make their return with a new single titled ‘Faster’. The song is a taste of what’s to come with their forthcoming LP.

‘Faster’ finds the Icona Pop going back into their club roots. Built on a pumping 4×4 drum kicks, stabbing keys, effects, and sampled vocal phrases, the song goes into deep house territory whilst still teetering on the line of high energy dance. Definitely a big tune, this single will go down well in the summer raves. ‘Faster’ is out now on Ultra Records.

Touching on the single, Icona Pop stated:

“‘Faster’ was so fun to make because it was probably the first time (but not last) in the process of making our new album where we felt completely free from the rules of how you are supposed to make a pop song. We just followed our instincts and played around with our amazing producer Yaro and wanted to make something that we could take straight from the studio to our DJ set. ‘Faster’ is just how we like it in our DJ sets, hard, minimal, banging but still with hooks, playfulness and a POP sensibility.”
