New York band High Highs have announced the release of their new single ‘Cascade’, schedule to land January 8, 2016 via PIAS/ Absolute Label Services. Serene in sound, the indie/pop production floats alongside the airy vocals of Jack Milas, provoking an overall ethereal splash of music.
Touching on the inspiration of the song, in a press statement High Highs wrote:
“‘Cascades’ is named after the mountain range in the American Northwest. It’s about a feeling of elation, and the feeling you get when you take in the stature of a mountain range like the Cascades. It’s also slightly nostalgic for the time we were on tour driving up from Salt Lake City into Oregon and into the Cascades themselves. Fog was covering the tops, it was very lush and green but cold. It was also a big moment for us in the writing process where we felt this tune was bigger than us almost.”
