Oregon artist Heather Woods Broderick is preparing for the release of her third album Invitation, landing April 19th on Western Vinyl. With the LP drawing inspiration from a quote by Thomas Moore, the first single taken from the record is the song entitled ‘Where I Lay’. What begins as a subtle yet gorgeous pop handing, transcends into a cinematic and epic building that is utterly breath-taking. This is Heather Woods Broderick at her finest.
Regarding the single, Heather Woods Broderick stated:
“‘Where I Lay’ is really a poem about the impermanence of all things. So many of our questions will remain unanswered but if we slow down and appreciate things as they are it can provide a simplicity and an ease that inspires wonder amidst the chaos.”
