Having built a strong reputation over the past few years as a cutting-edge and progressive producer in electronica, London’s Halina Rice is gearing up for the release of her debut album REDUX, out November 3rd. To hold fans over, Rice has brought forth her latest track ‘Drive’, which will be featured on the upcoming record. Combining pulsing tech house production with pop overlays, the tune is a dark and sensuous soundtrack to those late nights after the club.
In regards to her upcoming LP REDUX, Halina Rice stated:
“I think it’s about trying to capture fleeting moments and feelings that are hard to put into words and the result is like a tableaux of different moments or a series of photographs. Musically I might start with an idea of trying to create a particular feel or style, but through a course of experimentation and trial a totally different sound is revealed – it’s all about the choices you make as you work and a ‘happy accidents’ process where you put sounds together and something grabs you that’s moving.”
