Held at the Le Palace Theatre in Paris, Alessandro Michele presented the new spring/summer 2019 collection by Gucci. A cross pollination of 60s glamour with a flower power undertone of the decade, the show was also a blurring of the lines of gender. With the soundtrack consisting of songs such as Brahms Symphony No.3, Op.90, there was even a live performance of ‘Baby Alone In Babylone’ by Jane Birkin. Michele surely has a fond appreciation of culture clashing and the show is an example of what the designer hatches with little limitations.
