Footsie has been a mainstay in grime since it’s early beginnings. Having blazed a trail as a member of Newham Generals along with D Double E, it’s almost hard to believe that this year will Footsie be releasing his debut solo album No Favours. As the saying goes, better late than never. In fact, Footsie has recently shared a video for his single ‘Pepper Stew’ featuring JME. Directed by Chas Appeti, the visuals feature the two emcees hanging out in the ends spraying down bars. JME drops the lines, “Them man need their sanity checked / Blud it’s getting embarrassing / They’re online stunting, all bading / But on payday they get a reality cheque / Talk to their boss, quick salary check / I’m eating good, quick calorie check”. Yep, this is premium grime. No Favours is out May 22nd on Footsie’s label Studio 55.
