Florence + The Machine have shared a cover version of The Stooges’ ‘Search And Destroy’. This acoustic version is taken from Florence + The Machine’s deluxe edition of their Dance Fever LP, with the original version taken from The Stooges’ 1973 album Raw Power.

For this makeover, Florence + The Machine keep the instrumentation of the tune pretty close to the original, however, Florence Welch delivers more of pop meets soul vocals opposed to Iggy Pop’s raw punk displays. Nonetheless, this is a fun and spirited cover version that should go over well with Iggy himself. Have a listen.
