When it comes to the sexy sounds of nu-disco and electro, let’s call it what it is, the French are just good at it. So it should be no surprise that Guillaume Atlan and Stephane Bejean-Lebenson, the Paris-based mainstays known as Entschuldigung, are ready to drop a monster of an EP titled Gina, a classy journey into atmospheric electronica, disco and electro rhythms.
Comprised of three tracks, the fun and quirky ‘Gina Cecello’ sets off the EP with upbeat kicks and twisted synths all coinciding additional twinkling sound bits. ‘Killin’ off the day’ is a steamy ode to love making, peppered with a funk-based embedding whilst ‘S.W.A.T’ picks up the pace with more of a big room electro drive. Gina is a well-rounded and entertaining record that is pressed with that golden French sealing.
The Gina EP lands the 27th of February via Word Up Records.
