Led by vocalist Beatrice Bonnano, Dronningen is a London-based four-piece band bringing a fiery dose of electro rock branding with sheer attitude. Having formed as a full-on band in 2014, their latest EP Royal Riot is a three-song offering of striking guitar rippings, twisted synths and hard-stomping drums that is embedded with streams of 90s alternative metal and post punk with an uncanny energy. Whilst the music is fast and raging, there is also a dance factor to each track that makes you want to completely let loose. With breakdowns acting as mere resting moments, Dronningen definitely leave no production space unfilled. With Bonnano’s electric vocals gliding through the rhythms like a tossed spear through the air to its destined target, Royal Riot is for those who love their sound with power and might.
