We’re unashamed to say that we do switch into nerd mode when it comes to the DJ Zinc series “Trust Me I Was There”. It’s more than the fact that Zinc features a great deal of classic records throughout the old school rave years, but there is also his personal story to accompany the selection.
For the third installment of “Trust Me I Was There”, DJ Zinc treks through the year of 1989, where he writes “By 1989 I’d left school and was working 9-5 then spending all my other time listening to pirates and buying music. I didn’t have enough money for turntables at this point so I used to chop up tracks using a crappy home hi-fi using the pause button”. You can download the mix below.
