Canadian singer Dover Lynn Fox makes her return with a new track titled ‘Phantom Lover’. The song is the follow-up to her previous single ‘Winter Son’. ‘Phantom Lover’ is taken from Fox’s forthcoming EP Low Moon out this May.
Blending pop with Americana, ‘Phantom Lover’ deals with embracing the positive aspects of change, even if it’s origin is rooted in something that was initially painful such as a breakup, etc. The production of the song backs up that sense of hope, making ‘Phantom Lover’ a true soundtrack of optimism.
Touching on the single,
“‘Phantom Lover’ was written during a time of change, and at the end of a significant relationship. It draws from a variety of voices; those real, those imagined, from both past and present. These voices are messengers, calling and stirring you to persevere, embrace your dreams and your identity in the face of adversity and change.”
