Techno fans in Los Angeles, CA will get a chance to see one of the founding three pioneers of the music genre this month. Legendary Detroit techno producer Kevin Saunderson will spin live at the King King venue in Hollywood. Alongside Saunderson will also be critically acclaimed Detroit techno producer and deejay Kenny Larkin. The show is sponsored by Scion.
Kevin Saunderson, together with Juan Atkins and Derrick May created a worldwide phenomenon with their mixture of electronic music inspired by groups such as Kraftwerk, funk, soul and electric jazz over four to the floor (4×4) Chicago styled house rhythms which would be deemed as techno, coined by Juan Atkins. Saunderson would later rise to international fame with his group Inner City after the release of the hit records “Big Fun” and “Good Life”.
