Deliluh Return with ‘Credence (Ash in the Winds of Reason)’

Last month Toronto post-punk band Deliluh unveiled their single ‘Body And Soul’, which is taken from their forthcoming LP Fault Lines, out June 10th on Tin Angel Records.

Deliluh now bring forth their second single called ‘Credence (Ash in the Winds of Reason)’. Launching into the song with a repeated haunting guitar riff, the marching drums follow suit along with a completely menacing bass line. Whilst the production is quite open, Deliluh uses that spacious palette to incorporate eerie keys and additional howling guitar lines in the distance. Using the idea that less is more at times to be effective, ‘Credence (Ash in the Winds of Reason)’ is a dark ride that makes you irresistibly want to travel every step of the journey.

Touching on the track

“‘Credence (Ash In The Winds Of Reason)’ was a shared effort from our previous four piece iteration. The foundation was written and tracked together in Copenhagen in January of 2020, and then completed by the two of us between lockdowns almost a year later. The lyrics are from the perspective of a guilt stricken priest, grappling with a corrupt parish and the culpability of his faith. The song is one of three tracks on ‘Fault Lines’ that include Erika and Jude. We’re proud of all the work we did as a four-piece, and glad to have these efforts documenting our experience and process as a band over the past few years spent in Europe.”
